Tyee Poll: What's Next for the Fossil Fuel Divestment Movement?

You can see it on dozens of Canadian post-secondary campuses: students calling on administrations to change-up endowment portfolios for the climate's sake. Concordia University was the first school to move $5 million away from oil and gas companies last year.

The Tyee's Geoff Dembicki reported the youth-led fossil fuel divestment movement is growing quicker than any previous divestment movement.

While the major battleground remains in post-secondary institutions, cities and unions are joining the debate. Both B.C. teachers and Vancouver employees have appealed for fossil-free pension plans.
