Surrey’s one day Food Cart Festival hits the new Surrey City Hall on Saturday July 25th. Right on the skytrain line, this beautiful site will play host to not only 20+ food carts, but an artisans’ market, live music, kids activities and more.

Five lucky Tyee readers will each win a prize package including:

4 free admissions
4 meal vouchers (valid for four single food cart items at any cart)
$15 in Vancity Farmers’ Market vouchers
A Vancity swag pack, including a water bottle, lunch tote, and produce bag.

Cost of entry: $2 per person., kids 13 and under are free. Vancity members also get in free. No pets please.

What will you find there?
Surrey’s Food Cart Festival is a gathering of over 20 food trucks, presented by Vancity, and organized by the Fraser Valley Food Truck Association and Memory Laine Events.

In addition to the food carts, visitors can enjoy live music (by local band Voodoo Chill), kids activities (face painting and magician), and an artisans market.

The Surrey Food Cart Fest is a Zero Waste Event

The Food Cart Fest is working towards being a Zero Waste Event!

Food Cart Fest attendees can help keep waste away from local landfills by using the Zero Waste Events recycling and composting stations provided.

The kilograms of waste diverted and the greenhouse gas reductions made will be measured. The Zero Waste Events Partnership aims to divert a minimum of 94% of event waste from local landfills.

This is made possible through the partnership between Vancity, Recycling Alternative and Green Chair Recycling who share a vision to create positive impact by demonstrating care for the environment and community.
