Christine Brandt has worked for a university-based, non-profit journalism organization as managing director, and for an international NGO as director of communications and video production.
Prior to working in the non-profit sector, she was an award-winning television producer, writer and director in Vancouver and New York, and led teams for several broadcasters, including CBC, PBS, ABC, Discovery, National Geographic, Discovery and History Channel. Her professional and personal travels have taken her to Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central Americas.
Through the varied roles in the non-profit sector, and as producer, writer, director, production manager, and post-production supervisor on a broad span of television programs, she has a comprehensive range of creative, financial and business affairs skills.
Currently Christine is a part-time English teacher to Canadian newcomers, part-time media consultant, and highly-involved caregiver of an aging parent.
