Michelle Gamage

Michelle Gamage is The Tyee’s health reporter.

She previously wrote about environmental issues for The Tyee, speaking with people who lost their homes in a wildfire, mapping how a future flood could impact the Lower Mainland, highlighting underregulated industrial activity in small communities and hunting down local, affordable fresh food options in Vancouver.

Her reporting won her the 2022 Digital Publishing Awards Emerging Excellence award and helped ban tankers from Active Pass on B.C.’s west coast.
