Two more cabinet ministers appear set to enter the race to lead the British Columbia Liberal Party and replace Premier Gordon Campbell.
Health Minister Kevin Falcon has two events scheduled for Tuesday, one in the morning in Surrey and one in the afternoon in Prince George. A media advisory said they were “regarding the BC Liberal Party’s upcoming leadership vote.”
And Attorney General and government house leader Michael de Jong has a press conference scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Abbotsford airport for an “important announcement.”
They join Shuswap MLA George Abbott and Vancouver-Langara MLA Moira Stilwell, who both announced their intentions last week, in the race.
Former Liberal MLA and radio broadcaster Christy Clark has said she is taking a week off to consider entering the race and is expected to announce her decision next week. Solicitor General Rich Coleman is also expected to enter the race.
